About me and my therapy practice
Do you often feel anxious, low, or overwhelmed? As a Psychosynthesis-trained counsellor, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of what’s happening for you.
My approach is grounded in a deep understanding of emotions and the human experience. I aim to support you in reconnecting with your authentic self and finding greater balance in life.
Alongside supporting emotional wellbeing, I have a particular interest in working with relationship challenges, trauma, and patterns that stem from past experiences. Whether you’re navigating family dynamics, rebuilding self-esteem, or seeking healthier ways to relate to others, I’ll meet you with warmth, care, and curiosity.
Practice description
Collaborative process: I see therapy as a joint exploration. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to accompany and support you as we explore your experiences and emotions. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back and find ways to move forward.
Deep exploration and reflection: We may look at underlying patterns or beliefs that influence your relationships, emotions, and choices. This process can help bring clarity, self-awareness, and new perspectives.
Practical tools and techniques: Alongside exploration, I can offer practical support — such as grounding methods, mindfulness exercises, or self-compassion practices — to help you manage emotions, reduce stress, and build resilience.
Holistic approach: I work with the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — recognising how emotional wellbeing connects with all areas of life. This integrated approach can help you feel more balanced and connected.
Compassionate support: Whatever you bring — whether it’s family difficulties, past trauma, or struggles with anxiety or low confidence — I will approach each session with empathy and respect, helping you feel supported and empowered to make meaningful change.
A flexible, open space: Sessions are led by what feels most important for you at the time. The process is responsive and evolves naturally as our work unfolds.
My first session
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to get a sense of how I work. We’ll take time to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — it’s more about beginning to build a safe and trusting connection.
I’ll ask some gentle questions to help me understand your background, current situation, and what feels most important for you right now. Together, we’ll look at what you’d like to focus on, and begin to shape a way of working that feels supportive and manageable for you.
This first meeting is also a space for you to ask any questions about therapy, confidentiality, or the process itself. It’s an opportunity to see whether the way I work feels right for you.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what therapy with me involves and whether you’d like to continue.
