About me and my therapy practice

My approach is rooted in Psychosynthesis, a therapeutic model that recognises both our wounding and our potential for growth. I see therapy as a collaborative and creative process that supports you in making sense of your inner world and developing a deeper connection to yourself.

I work relationally, with an emphasis on safety, attunement, and presence. I pay close attention to what’s happening in the moment — emotionally, psychologically, and in the body — as a way of helping you build awareness and regulation. I understand trauma not only as something that happened in the past, but as an experience that can live in the body and shape how we relate to ourselves and others in the present.

My background in Psychosynthesis is complemented by influences from psychodynamic, person-centred, and somatic approaches. This means I adapt the work to suit your unique needs — sometimes focusing on insight and meaning, other times on grounding, self-soothing, and emotional integration.

Clients often come to me when they’re feeling stuck, anxious, or uncertain about themselves or their direction in life. Together we explore what’s happening beneath the surface, working gently to uncover patterns and reconnect you with a sense of agency, purpose, and self-acceptance.

I offer sessions online and in person.

Practice description

Coming to therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re struggling or have never been before. My practice offers a calm, grounded, and confidential space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what’s happening in your inner world.

I work with adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, lost, or disconnected — perhaps due to past trauma, relationship patterns, grief, or a sense of meaninglessness. Together we explore what lies beneath these experiences, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

My approach is relational and trauma-informed, meaning I pay close attention to how you’re feeling in the moment and what helps you stay regulated and present. We might use grounding exercises, body awareness, or reflective dialogue to support this. I see therapy as a shared journey of discovery — not about fixing you, but about deepening your understanding of yourself and developing new ways of relating to your experiences.

Clients often describe my style as warm, steady, and gently challenging. I aim to create an environment where you feel seen and met as a whole person — including the parts that may have felt too difficult or too much elsewhere.

Sessions take place online or in person in a quiet, comfortable setting. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or wanting to explore yourself more deeply, you’re welcome to reach out and see if the work feels right for you.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to get a sense of how I work. It’s a space to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope for from the process.

During this session, I’ll ask some gentle questions to help me understand you and your situation more fully. We’ll explore what’s been happening recently, any important background experiences, and what support you might need right now. I’ll also carry out a short risk assessment, as part of ensuring your safety and wellbeing.

Depending on what feels right for you, we might begin creating a social map — looking at the key relationships and influences in your life — and a timeline to help us understand significant life events and patterns over time. These tools can give us both a clear picture of your story and where you’d like to focus our work.

We’ll also go over the practical aspects of therapy, such as confidentiality, session length, payment, and cancellations, so that you know what to expect. There’s no obligation to continue after the first session — it’s your time to see if the fit feels right.

My standard fee applies to the first session, though I sometimes offer a reduced rate for those on lower incomes. Sessions are 50 minutes and can take place online or in person.

By the end of our first meeting, you’ll have a sense of how we might work together and whether this approach feels supportive for you.
