About me and my therapy practice
I believe in the power of therapeutic conversation and in building a trusting relationship to help clients feel clearer about themselves, their choices and underlying life patterns.
I hold a postgraduate diploma in psychotherapy and phenomenology, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling. Previously, I was a Samaritans volunteer and a counsellor at Third Age Counselling in London. I continue to work as an advisor for a national domestic abuse charity whilst I am the assistant editor of the European Journal of Psychotherapy and Counselling. Alongside my private psychotherapy practice in London (Holborn) and Colchester, I remain in continued professional development through the Southern Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Practice description
My practice is informed by existentialism, humanism, psychoanalysis and phenomenology. I am used to dealing with a range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, loss, panic attacks, relationship breakdowns, feeling lost or stuck in life. However, I ultimately believe that every client’s personal experience is unique. By tuning into what my clients tell me, I try to help them become more aware of underlying issues which may shape their experience.
Psychotherapy can feel like a daunting step at first, not least because there are so many types from which to choose. If you would like to arrange a session or simply have a question to ask, please get in touch by phone or email. My sessions typically last 50 minutes (once or twice weekly) and I offer in-person or online psychotherapy.
