About me and my therapy practice
If you’re reading this, you or someone you care about might be going through a challenging time. Perhaps you’re a young person in Nottingham feeling overwhelmed by loss, or a parent searching for support for your child who is struggling to cope with bereavement. Maybe anxiety is making everyday life feel difficult, or you’re finding it hard to navigate school or social situations as a neurodivergent individual. It takes courage to seek help, and I want to assure you that you’ve come to a place of understanding.
My name is Nisih and I am a person-centred therapist based in Nottingham. I work mainly with children and young people and, more recently, with adults, offering a supportive space to explore difficult feelings and experiences, particularly those related to bereavement, anxiety, trauma, and anger. The journey through such challenges can feel incredibly lonely and confusing, but you don’t have to walk it alone. My aim is to help you find a path towards understanding, healing, and hope.
Practice description
"Person-centred therapy" means that you are at the very heart of our work together. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering support and understanding as you navigate your challenges. We will work at your pace, in a way that feels most comfortable and helpful for you.
For children and young people, talking directly about big emotions can sometimes be daunting. That’s why I often incorporate creative ways to explore feelings. This might involve using arts and crafts, working with puzzles, drawing, or storytelling while we talk. These activities can allow some gentle distance from overwhelming topics, making it easier to process them. We might also take walks in nature, practice simple breathing techniques to calm anxious feelings, or try some mindfulness exercises. Of course, if you’d rather just talk, that’s perfectly fine too. The most important thing is that you feel in control of our sessions and comfortable with how we work together.
For adults, our sessions will provide a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. We can work together to make sense of your experiences, develop coping strategies, and find ways to move forward.
I truly believe that growth and healing happen when we can connect with our emotions and be accepted for who we are. In our sessions, you will be met with warmth, genuineness, and complete acceptance, free from judgment. My commitment is to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, where you feel safe enough to explore even the most painful parts of your story.
My first session
If what you've read connects with you and you're wondering if I'm the right person to help you or your child navigate your current challenges, let's connect.
I offer a free, 30-minute introductory call where there's no pressure at all. It's a chance for us to talk through what you're looking for, for me to answer your questions, and for us to explore if we'd work well together. Taking that first step can be significant, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Following the initial consultation, each 50-minute session costs £60.
Special rates are available when you book in advance:
3 sessions for £165 (£55 per session)
6 sessions for £300 (£50 per session)
