About me and my therapy practice
I鈥檓 a person-centred therapist with a strong focus on process. What does that mean? It means I work with what鈥檚 happening for you in the moment, in the room, and how that connects with your wider experiences. You may have asked yourself, 鈥淲hy does this still bother me, even years later?鈥 As a process-oriented therapist, this is exactly the kind of question we explore together.
Process work is at the heart of what I do; it鈥檚 about noticing what arises emotionally, somatically, and relationally in therapy. These often subtle moments are where the deeper work happens. I help clients tune into those threads, creating space to make sense of what may have been pushed aside, misunderstood, or left unresolved.
My approach is grounded in the core principles of person-centred therapy: empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. But what makes my work unique is how I combine these values with a deep trust in the unfolding therapeutic process. I don鈥檛 rush to solutions, I listen closely, helping you stay with the experience long enough for it to reveal its meaning.
Whether you're navigating grief, relationship struggles, anxiety, or something harder to name, I work with care and attentiveness to help you connect the dots between past and present, thought and feeling, mind and body. My aim is to support you in gaining deeper self-understanding and finding a more integrated way of being.
Practice description
I offer person-centred therapy, which means the work is non-directive but that doesn鈥檛 mean passive. My approach is highly collaborative. You set the pace and bring what feels important, and I offer a space where you can explore your experience openly, without judgment or pressure to be anything other than yourself.
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on what suits your needs and circumstances. We鈥檒l discuss this together and review as things progress.
In our first session, we鈥檒l have an initial consultation where I ask a series of questions to get to know you better, what鈥檚 brought you to therapy, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and any relevant background information. This helps me begin to understand your world and what support might be most helpful.
While I don鈥檛 direct the content of sessions, I am actively engaged in the process. I listen closely, reflect back what I hear, and gently bring attention to patterns, themes, or emotional shifts that may be significant. Therapy is a space for you to come as you are and for us to make sense of things together.
I work with adults and offer both short- and long-term therapy, depending on your goals and the depth of the work you wish to do. I aim to provide a consistent, warm, and grounded presence so that you can feel safe enough to explore whatever you need to.
Whether you鈥檙e dealing with a specific issue or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you鈥檙e welcome here exactly as you are.
