About me and my therapy practice
I’m a psychotherapist who works with people carrying quiet, heavy feelings they often struggle to name. You might feel anxious, self-critical, or constantly on edge. Maybe you’ve always tried to be the one who copes, the one who’s kind, capable, reliable. But deep down, something still doesn’t feel right.
In my experience, many of these struggles are rooted in shame. Not necessarily the kind we speak about, but the kind we feel. That sense of being not quite good enough, or needing to earn your worth through doing, pleasing, or hiding parts of yourself.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to suit you. I work integratively, which means I draw from different psychological models to support what you need, including parts work, relational therapy, and compassion-based approaches. I’m interested not just in what hurts, but in how you’ve learned to protect yourself from pain.
You don’t need to have all the answers before starting therapy. You don’t need to explain things perfectly. We can begin with whatever you bring, however uncertain or tangled it might feel. I’ll meet you there.
This work isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about understanding what helped you survive, and making space for a version of you that no longer has to carry everything alone.
Practice description
People often come to therapy when they’ve reached a limit. You might feel anxious, burnt out, emotionally flat, or overwhelmed by the pressure to be okay. You might not even be sure why you're struggling, only that something inside feels too much or not enough.
These are often the ways shame shows up. It doesn’t always announce itself, but it can sit beneath so many of the patterns people live with. Overthinking. People-pleasing. Pushing yourself too hard. Feeling like a failure no matter what you achieve. Avoiding closeness. Being scared of being seen.
In therapy, we can begin to understand how those patterns formed. We can work with the parts of you that try to keep you safe through control, hiding, humour, criticism, or numbness. These parts aren't flaws. They were shaped by what you needed at the time.
My practice offers a calm and respectful space where you can explore your story, bit by bit. I won’t push or diagnose. We’ll go at a pace that feels steady. Whether you come with a clear aim or just a vague sense that something’s off, we can start there.
I work online with adults across the UK. Sessions are 50 minutes, held weekly, and open-ended. That means you decide how long we work together. I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities, and aim to offer a space where you don’t have to hide the more complicated parts of your story.
My first session
The first session is a gentle beginning. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out, and no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. You don’t need to tell your whole story. Just come as you are.
I’ll invite you to talk a little about what has brought you to therapy and how things have been feeling lately. You might have a clear idea of what you want support with, or you might be unsure and just know you need something to change. Either way, we can work from there.
You can also ask me any questions about how I work, what therapy looks like, or how we’d go forward. I’ll explain things like confidentiality, regular sessions, and the pace of the work, so that you feel informed and grounded before we begin.
I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering therapy online throughout the UK. Sessions are 60 minutes long and usually held weekly at the same time each week, but I can also be flexible. I offer open-ended therapy, which means there is no fixed number of sessions. You decide what feels right for you.
