About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Tracy,
I understand how difficult it can be to address issues and obstacles and believe it is important to be able to speak in confidence and be heard without judgement. I am a relational, warm and non-judgmental therapist and my approach is calm and supportive. I can work with you to understand underlying issues, process unresolved feelings and develop helpful ways of coping.
I have personal experience of working with a therapist to deal with problematic issues. I understand how difficult it can be to be vulnerable. I experienced growth and transformation and believe that change is possible. I also work in a culturally sensitive way and have experience of working with people from different backgrounds.
I am a qualified counsellor, with experience of working with a wide range of issues including a specialism in loss, fostering and adoption. I also have experience of working with people affected by cancer within a charity. I am also a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ and the Association of Christian Counsellors.

About me and my therapy practice
For over 20 years, I’ve walked alongside children, families, and carers in the foster care and adoption, supporting them through the pain of trauma and the hard work of rebuilding trust and connection. I know how misunderstood trauma can leave people feeling, the impact this can have on relationships and how healing begins when someone truly listens without judgment.
Alongside this, I’ve spent over two years counselling people living with cancer and their loved ones. In those conversations, I’ve sat with grief, fear, anger, identity struggles, family tensions, and moments of hope. I understand how life-changing events can make old wounds feel sharper, but also how they can open the door to growth and change.
These experiences have shaped the way I work as a therapist: I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can bring whatever feels too heavy to carry alone. I listen deeply, with warmth and understanding, helping you make sense of your story, process pain, and discover new ways to cope and move forward.
Practice description
I provide an emotionally supportive environment where, together, we explore possible causes of your issues and look at ways to resolve the challenging emotions.
My approach is relational and human. I’m not here to judge or ‘fix’ you, but to walk with you, at your pace, through the challenges you face. Change is possible, and you don’t have to face it on your own.
I currently offer a free 30 minute initial telephone consultation where you can ask questions and begin to discuss therapy goals. This discussion will be an opportunity for you to see how you feel about us working together. Following this, we can schedule therapy sessions if you would like to progress.
My first session
