About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Maya’s Safe Space - an affirming, neurodivergent-friendly environment where you can explore your identity, heal from trauma, and reclaim your confidence and authenticity.

I’m Maya Price (she/her), a trans woman and neurodivergent integrative therapist. I’ve worked in schools, colleges, non-profits, and community settings, supporting people through trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, identity, and life transitions.

Being both trans and neurodivergent informs the way I work. I structure sessions, breaks, and tools to allow me to stay fully present for clients, creating space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Alongside therapy, I offer coaching for trans women, providing practical support for confidence, self-expression, relationships, and navigating the world safely. My aim is to help you feel empowered, understood, and fully supported.

I support adults (18+) who are LGBTQIA+. My specialisms include:

  • Gender identity and transition support, particularly for trans and non-binary clients
  • Neurodivergence, including ADHD, autism, and sensory sensitivities
  • Mental health challenges such as anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, and identity or family tensions
  • Inner child work, parts-based exploration, transactional analysis, CBT, sand tray therapy, and integrative therapy

I also provide coaching for trans women or anyone exploring gender expression, focusing on practical guidance, confidence-building, self-presentation, relationships, coming out, and navigating life safely.

Practice description

I combine a person-centred, trauma-informed approach with practical tools tailored to your needs. Together, we create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can:

  • Explore your thoughts, feelings, and inner parts
  • Understand and regulate emotions
  • Develop self-soothing strategies and resilience
  • Reclaim confidence, authenticity, and agency

Coaching sessions are practical and goal-focused, helping you build clarity, confidence, and real-world skills.

Why Choose Maya’s Safe Space:

  • Trans-informed & affirming: Understanding of gender identity, transition, and discrimination
  • Neurodivergent-friendly: Sessions designed to accommodate sensory and attention needs
  • Experienced & integrative: Over 20 years supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients
  • Personalised: Sessions and coaching guided by your needs, not a fixed model
  • Safe & ethical: Privacy, boundaries, and wellbeing are central
