About me and my therapy practice

Are you a healthcare worker? Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious? Are you feeling the effects of loss, grief and bereavement? Do you feel like no-one really understands you or the pressure you are under on a daily basis? I get it!

Working in healthcare, carrying the emotional load of patient's and family stories and still being expected to just keep going is a lot to carry. You need an outlet too.

I’ll provide a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what you’re feeling at your own pace. We’ll gently make sense of your experiences, how you are feeling and find practical, supportive ways to cope with the pressures you’re carrying. Stress can manifest in feelings of isolation, loneliness, misunderstandings. We can explore these complexities together with care and honesty.

My approach is gentle and down-to-earth, focused on what feels helpful for you. I understand how hard it is to reach out when you’re struggling, so I create a space where you feel heard and understood just as you are.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Registered Nurse in the NHS, where I witnessed firsthand how deeply stress impacts people’s lives, including our own. I bring my own lived experience of this, which gives me a compassionate understanding of the challenges you face.

If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next, please feel free to reach out.

Practice description

I work integratively using various models of counselling enabling me to tailor your sessions specifically to your needs. Therapy is most definitely not a one size fits all.

Sessions are focused from a person centred model, building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard, respected and able to be yourself without judgement.

I use CBT tools and creative work to find what best suits you, and help you find coping strategies that work best for your needs and lifestyle.

My first session

During our first session we will explore what brought you to therapy and make a plan of how you would like to see this change. This session will involve me asking you some questions to get a better understanding of your concerns and what your expectations of therapy are.

We will delve into your thoughts, feelings and emotions and discover the best strategies for you to manage these yourself every day.

Together we will monitor improvements and plan for a better healthier happier you.
