About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Chloe, a qualified counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice and currently studying for my BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
My approach is integrative, drawing primarily from person-centred and psychodynamic theories. This means I tailor our work together to suit your unique needs—whether that’s looking at past experiences that may still impact you today, or simply offering a compassionate presence as you navigate life’s challenges.
I have particular experience in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), birth trauma, and relationship issues. I understand that seeking support can feel daunting, especially if you're used to managing things on your own or if you don’t yet have experience of therapy. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you to find greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.
If you’d like to know more about how I work or whether we’d be a good fit, feel free to get in touch—I’d be happy to hear from you.
Practice description
I'm currently offering online sessions, with a view to offer face-to-face in the near future.
My approach is warm and nurturing, anchored in psychodynamic theory but giving you the space to bring what you need to address to each session. The first few sessions would be about getting to know you and where you feel you're struggling and building the alliance that I feel is essential to successful therapy and lasting change. I offer a gentle approach and I will never push a tender spot.
I am particularly passionate/knowledgable about late-diagnosis of neurodiversity, bereavement and how attachment style informs grief, birth trauma, depression and anxiety.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute call to chat about what you need and how we will work together, after this I send an intake form and contract over to you to have a look at a few days before the session.
At the start of the first session itself, I will fill in a GAD7 and CORE-10, this is how I will monitor progress and will do these questionnaires with you every 4 weeks, if that is comfortable for you.
I will use the first few sessions to get comfortable with each other and do some small tasks with you that are designed to get you thinking about where your struggles lie and found out more about you. I like to keep some structure to the sessions, as structure and routine can be hard to come by in the ever-busy world we live in.
