About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel stuck in life, would like a sense of peace and clarity, or perhaps feel completely overwhelmed and are struggling to find a way through life’s difficulties?
I offer warmth, empathy and acceptance to create a calming space to try to better understand your challenges. Together we can explore a new perspective, where you are able to feel more content with life and ready to move forward into a brighter future.
Whilst my foundations are in person-centred counselling, I believe that every person is unique and I will work with you holistically to tailor our sessions to suit you as an individual.
I work with a range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, low confidence, low self-esteem, negative thinking, self-criticism, health anxiety, bereavement/grief or loss, work and life stresses, anger management, relationship problems, domestic violence.
I also have experience in: neurodiversity, living with cancer, life limiting illness, and long-term health conditions.
Practice description
As a dedicated counselling professional, my goal is to provide you with a supportive and non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable in exploring your problems.
I offer a compassionate listening ear and therapeutic support in a safe, calm and confidential setting. I provide online and telephone counselling, allowing time and space to talk through and process your concerns, where you can freely express yourself and feel truly heard. I welcome the opportunity to work with you to explore ways to move forward, where you feel in control of the process and are comfortable with the pace.
I have worked alongside Mind, counselling people with a diverse and varied range of problems. My experience includes supporting patients therapeutically within NHS cancer services. I have both training and practical experience working with neurodiversity.
Caring for those in cancer services for over 15 years has instilled in me a strong desire to promote the wellbeing of others. Additionally, my own personal experience of a positive therapeutic relationship has led me to, and shaped, the counselling services I feel proud and privileged to be able to now offer others.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute introductory session so we can discuss how we can work together and give you the opportunity to ask any questions, or find out more about my services.
I will forward an assessment form and well-being questionnaire for you to complete so that I can better understand your needs prior to our first session.
