About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Jen Thank you for looking at my page. You may feel reaching out for therapy is difficult, and I am here to support you.

During your therapy sessions, we can work through any struggles you may be going through. You will feel heard, understood and completely accepted. I am a qualified integrative counsellor who primarily uses person-centred therapy, incorporating aspects of the psychodynamic approach where suitable. This approach facilitates a reflective exploration of your past, aiding in bringing clarity and healing to your current life. Additionally, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) offers a gentle way to transform unhelpful thoughts or behaviours, encouraging a more optimistic perspective on life.

Practice description

For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s many challenges. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, or grief, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can feel truly heard and understood.

My experience includes working with people through a wide range of concerns, from bereavement, PTSD, and loneliness to social anxiety, narcissistic abuse, and the emotional impact of menopause. I’ve supported clients dealing with addiction, domestic abuse, poverty, homelessness, and the complexities of family life, including child contact issues and relationship breakups.

No matter what brings you to therapy, I meet you with warmth, empathy, and respect. Together, we can explore what’s weighing on you and work towards healing, clarity, and renewed strength.

My first session

Your first session is a gentle starting point, a space where you're welcome to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. There’s no pressure, just an open invitation to begin where you feel comfortable.

I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping to explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that supports meaningful and positive change.

Many of the people I work with tell me that therapy brings clarity and helps them develop practical tools to face life’s challenges with greater ease, calm, and self-awareness.

You are welcome to come for one session or continue, whichever feels right for you. There is no obligation, only support at your pace.

Availability

About me and my therapy practice

I warmly welcome new clients into a space that’s calm, compassionate, and free from judgment. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, rooted in person-centred therapy and adapted to meet your emotional and sensory needs. You’ll be met with empathy, acceptance, and a steady presence as we explore what’s weighing on you.

Where helpful, we may gently explore your past to bring clarity and healing to your present. I draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to support you in reshaping patterns that no longer serve you, and psychodynamic insight to understand how your experiences have shaped your inner world. I am trained in high-intensity counselling, which allows me to support clients through more complex or acute emotional challenges.

My sessions are tailored to the unique contours of your story. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, loss, neurodiversity, or relationship struggles, I offer a grounded space where every feeling is valid and every experience is respected.

Therapy with me is collaborative and steady. I work at a pace that feels right for you, whether you need space to reflect, structure to move forward, or simply someone to walk alongside you. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out, especially if you’ve experienced trauma, abuse, or feel unsure about where to begin. You won’t be rushed or judged here.

You are very welcome to reach out for a free ten-minute introductory call to see if working together feels like a good fit.

You deserve support that meets you where you are, and I’m here to offer it with care, clarity, and hope.

Practice description

Therapy with me is an integrative and compassionate process. I offer a steady presence and a safe space where you can speak freely, feel deeply, and begin to reconnect with parts of yourself that may have felt silenced or overwhelmed. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, grief, or the impact of difficult relationships and domestic abuse, I will meet you with warmth, respect, and care.

My therapeutic approach draws from a range of therapeutic models to meet your individual needs. These include person-centred therapy, psychodynamic insight, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and somatic practices such as breathwork. I am trained in high-intensity counselling, which allows me to support clients through more complex or acute emotional challenges.

Together, we may explore your past to understand how it shapes your present, gently challenge unhelpful patterns, and build tools for emotional regulation and resilience.

I offer a calm, grounded environment where your experiences are honoured and your healing is supported.

You deserve support that meets you where you are, and I’m here to offer it with clarity, compassion, and hope.

My first session

Your first session will be a gentle introduction to therapy and an opportunity for us to begin building a safe and trusting relationship. Whether we meet online, by phone, or face-to-face, I will welcome you with warmth and without expectation. You are free to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

Sessions are tailored to meet your needs. I offer face-to-face sessions in Stratford-upon-Avon and Redditch. If we meet in person, I will send directions and a counselling contract ahead of time so you feel prepared. If we meet online or by phone, the contract will be sent in advance. This outlines our work together and offers you a space to ask any questions before we begin.

There is no pressure to commit beyond this first meeting. It’s a space for you to get a feel for how I work and decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit for you.

To secure your booking, a £10 deposit is required before the session. This helps confirm your place and ensures the time is held for you.

Above all, your first session is about you feeling safe, supported, and respected. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to take that first step, and I’m here to meet you with care, clarity, and compassion.
