About me and my therapy practice
Anxiety isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes it’s the late-night replay of conversations, wondering if you said the wrong thing. It's the constant anticipation of what could go wrong, the overthinking that leaves you exhausted but unable to switch off.
It can show up in unexpected ways - driving could feel terrifying, toilet anxiety triggering panic, or you can’t bear the thought of being away from your home or ‘safe’ person. You know it doesn’t entirely make sense, and yet it still feels so real. It's confusing and frustrating, especially when you don’t understand where it’s come from or why it’s happening now.
Maybe your anxiety wraps itself around your relationships. You second-guess everything, worry you're too much, and find yourself overanalysing texts or silences. You fear people pulling away, even when nothing seems wrong on the surface. Deep down, you might carry guilt for needing reassurance or feel ashamed for caring so much.
Anxiety can go hand-in-hand with people-pleasing - always putting others first, struggling to say no, and feeling responsible for how everyone else feels. You might not even realise how often you dismiss your own needs or silence your own discomfort to avoid conflict or keep the peace.
Somewhere along the way, it’s like you lost touch with your own sense of safety and self-trust. Confidence takes a hit. You doubt your feelings, your worth, your instincts. It’s exhausting.
But you’re not broken for feeling this way... And you don’t have to keep carrying it alone.
Practice description
Counselling with me is down-to-earth, warm, and conversational. I believe in being real - no clinical coldness or sitting in awkward silence. We might laugh, we might swear, and we’ll definitely try to get honest about what’s going on. I know counselling can feel daunting, but you don’t have to have all the answers before you start. It might not be clear to you right now what you want.
I work integratively, which simply means I draw from different approaches depending on what you need. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, relationship worries, or setting boundaries - our sessions are about exploring what’s going on beneath the surface and helping you reconnect with your own voice, needs, and confidence.
You deserve support that feels safe and human. Let’s figure it out together.
