Availability

I currently have availability for both new and returning clients, offering sessions in person and online, so you can access therapy from comfort of your home,  wherever you are based in the UK or internationally.

My standard working hours are Monday to Thursday- 9:00am to 7:30pm (last appointment starting at 6:30pm)

Fridays appointments are available upon request.

I work on flexible basis, meaning we can arrange regular weekly sessions or discuss a schedule that suits your lifestyle and commitments.

If I am due to take a time off, I will always let you know in advance so we can plan your sessions around it. I understand how important continuity can be, especially when you are making a progress.

At the moment I can usually offer a initial appointment within 1-2 weeks of your enquiry. You are welcome to contact me to talk about what you are looking for and to see if we are a good fit.

About me and my therapy practice

So maybe you are here because life feels heavier than it should. You might be feeling anxious, stuck in the same cycles, or finding it hard to trust yourself. Perhaps you are going through life transition, experiencing burnout, or struggling with relationships and self-esteem. You maybe wondering if therapy can truly help, and if you will find someone who will really listen, without judgment and walk alongside you as you make changes that last.

I offer a calm, grounded, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what is going on, feel understood, and begin to find new ways forward. I work in person-centred and integrative way, which means our sessions are guided by your needs, your pace, and what matters most to you. I also bring a holistic perspective, drawing on my background in yoga and meditation to support mind-body awareness and a somatic focus in therapy. This can help you connect more deeply to your body's signals, release stored stress, and feel more grounded in yourself.

My approach blends talking therapy with techniques that encourage self-reflection, emotional regulation, and nervous system balance. Where useful, I integrate elements of solution-focus therapy, parts work and internal family systems thinking, helping you understand how past and present influences shape your current patterns and how you can begin to shift them.

Many of my clients are busy professionals, people navigating demanding life stages, or those recovering from difficult narcissistic relationships. 

Whether you want to reduce anxiety, rebuild confidence, or find clarity during a transition, we work together with honesty, compassion, and flexibility.

Hi and welcome, I am Karla a heart and face behind Your Storylines Therapy.

Your Storylines Therapy is a calm and confidential space, whether online or in person, where you can pause, reflect, and work through challenges without pressure or judgment. I strive for creating an atmosphere where you feel respected, understood, seen and supported as you explore your next steps.

I work with adults of all ages, with particular focus on people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's who are experiencing anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, or life changes. I also support adults experiencing or surviving difficult relationships, specially narcissistic abuse, helping them to rebuild self-trust, process emotional wounds, and create healthier boundaries.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually weekly, though fortnightly or monthly sessions can be arranged to suit your needs. I work online across the UK and internationally, and in person in Bournemouth and Poole area. My style is flexible, collaborative, open minded- we adapt as your needs change, and you are always in control of what we explore.

If you are new to therapy I know it can feel scary and daunting to make a first contact. I offer a free initial phone conversation, that is chance to share what is on your mind, have a relaxed talk, ask questions, and get a feel for whether working together feels right for you.

My first session

After our initial relaxed conversation, your first full session will focus on getting to know you, and you would like from therapy. I create calm, safe, non-judgmental space where you can share freely and be yourself.

There is no pressure to have everything planned out, we can explore what is on your mind in the moment and gradually shape the direction together. I use gentle, open questions that helps us understand you priorities and needs.

I believe therapy is not about "fixing" you, but helping you to reconnect with your strengths, resilience and sense of self. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or do, we will take it one step at a time.
