About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced integrative therapist. Integrative therapy covers several therapeutic modalities which allows me to develop a tailored approach to different individuals and their goals.
As well as private practice, I have experience working in the NHS for Lambeth Talking Therapies seeing a wide range of issues from people with diverse backgrounds.
I have worked in healthcare for many years, training as a therapist later in life which allowed me to bring maturity and experience to the role. Working in healthcare made me appreciate just how important the therapeutic relationship is in the journey to health and wellbeing.
My educational background in English helps me understand the importance of analysing narrative and how it is informed by our environment. By examining our own "story," we can gain insight into how our beliefs and perceptions are impacting our lives and work towards a more empowering narrative.
Practice description
As a therapist, I offer warmth, sincerity and a non-judgmental regard. I am down-to-earth and like to work collaboratively with my clients. I have a person-centred approach that places my clients at the heart of my work and respects the uniqueness of each individual. My practice is also informed by psychodynamic and attachment theory which looks at how early development and experience, influences our relationships and our sense of self. I will also work in the here-and-now noticing how past patterns may be playing out in the present.
I will provide a warm and supportive environment where you can safely explore your thoughts and feelings. This allows you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the root causes of any challenges as well as identify areas that you would like to change and develop. I believe that by being better able to accept ourselves we can live in a more authentic and fulfilling way. In being able to let go of self-judgment and inner conflict, we open ourselves up to growth.

I offer in-person open-ended, time-limited and short-term therapy.

It is important that you feel comfortable and able to connect with your therapist, that is why I offer a free 20 min online/telephone session so that we have the opportunity to meet and see if we can work well together.
I am happy to provide long-term, short-term and time-limited therapy.
My face-to-face sessions take place in a comfortable, dedicated private practice space in Greenwich conveniently located between Cutty-sark and Greenwich DLR stations.
Occasional online sessions will be offered when clients cannot get to me.
My first session
On the first session we will normally consider what brought you to therapy. Some people come with clear issues they would like to work on. Others may just have a sense that something is not right and would like to explore this feeling. I will normally ask what you would like to get from therapy. This may include discussing any goals you would like to work towards.
