About me and my therapy practice
Welcome!
About Me
I’m Esther, a qualified integrative counsellor working with adults. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and soul-centred; supporting the emotional, physical, and spiritual parts of who you are. Whether you’re feeling burnt out by life’s pressures, wrestling with old wounds, feeling lost, or yearning for a deeper sense of meaning and self-connection, I’m here to walk alongside you at your pace.
Therapy with me is a collaborative journey. My style is intuitive yet grounded; I work flexibly in a person-centred way, but draw from transpersonal and depth psychology, mindfulness, somatic awareness, eco-psychology, Gestalt, parts work, creative expression, and psychospiritual exploration to meet your unique needs. Sometimes we need to explore old difficulties in new ways to find insight. I believe healing happens when we are truly seen, recognised and deeply heard without judgement, pressure or performance.
I also work within Mind and the NHS in a Wellbeing Team, which deepens and gives more breadth to the diversity of my practice. I have an enhanced DBS and am a Suicide and Mental Health First Aider.
Practice description
A Soul-Centred Space
This work is very sacred to me; I’ve been there too. My own experience of being supported through a "Dark Night of the Soul" by some incredible, heart-centred therapists was transformative. I know just how much courage it takes to begin this process of change and it is a huge privilege to walk alongside the deeply meaningful journeys of others.
At the core of my practice is the belief that each person holds an innate drive toward wholeness, meaning, and self-understanding. I offer a safe, accepting, open and affirming space where all parts of you are welcome: joy, despair, confusion, anger, hope, hopelessness, numbness, peace.. You might talk, cry, laugh, rage, be silent, reflect, or want to create. We will follow what feels true for you and explore ways to express it, which can lead to greater self-awareness, insight and spaciousness in your inner world.
If it supports your process, we may explore somatic awareness, visualisation, mindfulness, books, dreamwork, ritual, imagery, creative practices or symbolic work.
I offer walk and talk therapy in The New Forest, for those who feel drawn to the grounding, connecting presence of the natural world. Nature is beautifully stabilising and non-verbal; a mirror, rhythm and cycles, a reminder of your place in the larger web of life.
I am training in Advanced Wilderness Therapy (qualify Spring 2026), where mindful connection and re-awakening to nature is incorporated into therapeutic work. If you feel this speaks to you, please do get in touch.
My core training is person-centred, psycho-spiritual counselling. Spiritual counselling doesn’t mean religious, although everyone is welcome. It means working with your whole being: body, mind, and soul. It involves honouring and attuning to your intuition, your story and hearing your innate wisdom. It recognises life as deeply interconnected, and healing as a journey of integration, reconnection, and remembering and rediscovering who you are.
My first session
I offer both in-person and online sessions, as well as phone and walk-and-talk options depending on what feels most supportive for you. Our first meeting is a free 30-minute phone consultation where you can ask questions, share what brings you to therapy and get a feel for how I work. From there, we can see if we’re the right fit, there’s no pressure to commit. If I am aware of a specialised service or therapist that may be more helpful for you, I will also discuss this with you.
I work from a quiet, cosy room in Ashley Heath.
This is your space. Your truth. Your time. Your journey. If you feel drawn to take the next step, it would be an honour to walk beside you!
