About me and my therapy practice
You might look like you鈥檙e coping, but inside you feel stretched thin - overthinking, anxious, replaying conversations in your head. You want to feel calmer, more confident, and able to trust your own voice again. Therapy can be a space to breathe, make sense of what鈥檚 yours to carry, and start feeling more like you.
I mainly work with women who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or emotionally stuck to find clarity, calm, and a way forward. Therapy with me is gentle and grounded. You don鈥檛 need to have the right words or a neat story. Just bring yourself - as you are.
Clients often tell me they feel lighter after sessions. Not because everything鈥檚 fixed, but because they finally feel heard. Understood. Not judged. That鈥檚 where change begins
I am a warm, calm and down-to-earth person, and I'm here to help. Therapy can stir up big feelings, and I believe a little lightness can help us breathe through the heavy moments. I bring kindness, gentle humour, and a grounded presence to our sessions, because healing doesn鈥檛 have to feel clinical. All feelings are welcome and swearing is absolutely OK!
Practice description
My Approach:
We start by creating a space that feels safe - emotionally and physically. I use somatic and nervous system-informed approaches (like breathwork, gentle movement, and metaphor-based tools) to help you feel more at ease in your body and mind.
You won鈥檛 be rushed. You won鈥檛 be analysed. You鈥檒l be met with warmth, curiosity, and a steady presence. Always, we move at your pace.
Together, we explore what鈥檚 keeping you stuck, and what freedom might feel like. That could mean less anxiety, more clarity, or simply breathing a little easier.

Session Information:
In-Person Sessions: I offer in-person sessions at Blake House in central York.
Online Sessions: I offer online sessions via Teams
Initial Consultation: I provide a free 20 - 30 minute phone or online intro call to discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit.
Session Costs:
I offer weekly sessions lasting 50 minutes from 拢65, or fortnightly sessions lasting 75 minutes from 拢80.

My first session
I offer a free 30 minute initial phone or online intro call to explain my approach and what counselling could look like. We can briefly talk about what has led to you seeking therapy, your current challenges and I'll ask you to share any relevant background information. We can figure out how we might work together and if you feel comfortable working with me.
There is absolutely no obligation to book any further sessions, but if we are a good fit, we can schedule your first counselling session and I will send you a working agreement. This outlines our mutual commitments, and I will ask you read, sign and return it before we meet.
