About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced individual and couples psychotherapist, offering specialist support in a range of areas including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, anger, and PTSD.
My professional journey began as a medical doctor, specialising in sexual health and HIV. Over time, a growing interest in holistic wellbeing led me to transition into the field of psychology and counselling.
Today, I work with individuals and couples to navigate emotional, relational, and psychological challenges, supporting them in their growth and helping them realise their full potential.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and thrive when offered the right tools and a safe, supportive environment. My practice is grounded in warmth, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach. I welcome clients from all walks of life and am committed to providing a space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÍø±¬ÃÅ). My academic background includes a BSc in Psychology, an MBBS (Medical Degree), an MSc in Epidemiology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Genitourinary Medicine. I am also a former Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). In addition, I have undertaken specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for trauma, ADHD, OCD, and couple counselling. Alongside my private practice, I work as a children's counsellor in a primary school, delivering school-based mental health support through Place2Be — a leading national provider in this field.
My hourly session fees are:
Individuals: Online £60.00, face to face £70.00
Couples: £90.00
My Specialist Areas:
• Couples experiencing relationship difficulties
• Depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, anger, PTSD, trauma, and stress-related issues
Other Areas of Experience:

• Sex-related issues
Practice description
I am an Integrative Counsellor, drawing from a broad range of therapeutic approaches, thoughtfully tailored to meet each client’s unique psychological needs and personal preferences. My practice is grounded in flexibility, empathy, and collaboration.
My work is informed by the following modalities:
• Behavioural Activation
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Person-Centred Therapy
• Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Approaches
• Transactional Analysis
• Attachment-Based Therapy
In my work with couples, I integrate these approaches with models specifically designed to address relational dynamics and developmental stages, including:
• Bader’s Developmental Model of Couples Therapy
• Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
I also incorporate psychoeducation informed by neuroscience, mindfulness-based techniques, and Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) to support emotional regulation, resilience, and self-awareness.
What You Can Expect?
Each session is tailored to your individual needs and preferences.
You are in control — you decide how many sessions you’d like, and we’ll regularly review your progress together. We can adapt our approach at any point if something isn’t working for you.
Whether you're looking for short-term support or long-term therapy, I aim to help you feel happier, more secure, and emotionally balanced.
How I deliver therapy?
• Sessions are available face-to-face, online, or by telephone
• I offer flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• All sessions are confidential and conducted via secure platforms
• I adhere to the professional and ethical standards of the Íø±¬ÃÅ
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute, no-obligation consultation via Zoom. This gives us a chance to discuss the practicalities of working together and for you to decide whether I’m the right counsellor for you.
If you choose to go ahead, I’ll send you my Counselling Agreement. This document outlines important information about how I work, confidentiality, and other practical details. It also gives you a chance to ask any questions you might have.
In your first paid session, we’ll begin exploring the areas of your life you’d like to focus on. This will involve gathering some background information to help us understand what’s going on for you and how best we can work together.
