About me and my therapy practice

As a qualified integrative psychotherapist and coach, I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is integrative, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies to meet your individual needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, mindfulness, and coaching techniques that support focus, motivation, and practical change.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship lies at the heart of healing and growth. I work collaboratively and respectfully, creating a safe and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I work with adults experiencing depression, low mood, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, or a general sense of being stuck or struggling to move forward. I also have specialist experience supporting people living with trauma and complex mental health difficulties, including those managing EUPD/BPD (Emotionally Unstable or Borderline Personality Disorder), Autism, and ADHD.

In everyday terms, I often work with people who feel easily overwhelmed, misunderstood, or caught in repeating patterns that cause distress. Together, we explore not only how to cope with these challenges, but how to heal from past experiences, build emotional resilience, and rediscover a stronger sense of self and direction.

I am experienced in working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those of mixed heritage or who may feel uncertain about belonging or identity. I approach these conversations with sensitivity and respect, recognising how culture and lived experience shape our emotions and relationships.

I aim to provide a confidential, flexible, and supportive space. My goal is to help you move forward with clarity, emotional balance, and confidence in your ability to create the life you want.

Practice description

I offer a warm, welcoming, and supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions, thoughts, and life experiences. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or a sense of being stuck, my aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns, while guiding you towards meaningful and lasting change.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, blending methods from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred and Psychodynamic Therapy, and mindfulness-based and coaching practices. This flexible approach ensures therapy is tailored to your individual needs and preferences.

I have experience supporting people with trauma and complex mental health difficulties, including those living with EUPD/BPD (Emotionally Unstable or Borderline Personality Disorder), Autism, and ADHD. In simple terms, I work with individuals who experience emotional intensity, difficulty regulating feelings, or a sense of being misunderstood or overwhelmed. Together, we focus on developing emotional balance, self-acceptance, and practical coping skills.

I also work with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those of mixed or multi-heritage identities. I recognise how culture, belonging, and identity can influence emotional wellbeing, relationships, and self-understanding, and I approach these experiences with curiosity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.

I aim to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported. My approach is collaborative - we work at a pace that feels right for you, building trust and understanding along the way.  Together, we’ll identify your strengths, build resilience, and develop tools to help you manage challenges both during and beyond therapy. My goal is to help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and self-awareness.

My first session

During our first session, I aim to create a comfortable and safe space where you can talk openly about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to explore your current challenges, hopes, and goals. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about how therapy works and what to expect.

We’ll spend time discussing your background, what has led you to seek support, and any immediate concerns you’d like to focus on. I’ll explain how I work, the different therapeutic and coaching approaches I draw from, and how we can structure our sessions to best meet your needs.

If helpful, I may invite you to complete a brief assessment form before our first meeting. This simply helps me gain a clearer understanding of your situation so that we can make the most of our time together. You’re welcome to share any specific goals, preferences, or areas of focus at any stage of our work.

The session fee is the same as for all subsequent sessions—there is no extra or reduced charge for our first meeting. My aim is to ensure you feel at ease, informed, and confident about the process, so you can decide if we’re the right fit to work together.

At the end of our first session, we can agree on the next steps, including how often to meet and what direction our work might take to support your personal growth, emotional wellbeing, and resilience.
