About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with anxiety, bereavement, stress, or low mood – or simply feel stuck and unsure how to move forward? Starting counselling can feel like a big decision – especially if you’re not sure what to expect. You might be feeling uncertain, vulnerable or simply wondering if it’s the right time. Reaching out is a courageous first step, and I’m here to meet you with compassion, curiosity and care. Together we can explore what you feel you need, and what changes you want to make to build the life you want and deserve, and to be happy. I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where we can work at your pace.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that suits you as an individual. My approach is all about you, creating a space where you are genuinely listened to, accepted for you and supported to explore things in your own way. My training means I can help you to explore how your early experiences and relationships are influencing how you think and feel today. I can work with you to identify any patterns in your thoughts and behaviours, and we can explore these together. The basis of our work together will be a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, where you can feel safe to be open and honest.

My clients describe me as down-to-earth, understanding and non-judgemental. I believe that therapy can be both a reflective and empowering process, helping you to understand yourself more deeply and make meaningful changes in your life. I firmly believe that your experiences make you the expert in you – I can work with you to help you understand your own answers.

I am sensitive to the cultural and ethnic origins of individuals and to people's religious beliefs, gender identity, age, disability, and sexual orientation.

Practice description

I offer in-person sessions in Stockport as well as online sessions. I offer flexible daytime and limited evening appointments. I also offer Single Session Therapy - the opportunity to book a single session for a focused approach to a single issue.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute consultation call to help us to get to know each other a bit, and for you to ask any questions you have. You won’t need to decide in this call whether you want to go ahead with counselling. There's no pressure or commitment – just a chance to explore whether I might be the right fit for you.

In our first full session we will begin to explore what brings you to therapy as well as go through some practical bits like setting boundaries and agreeing how we’ll work together.

I offer short, medium, and long-term counselling. This means we can adapt the number of sessions to best meet your needs, reviewing this regularly as we progress.
