About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor with experience in working with people of all ages and backgrounds, with a wide range of issues many of us encounter in life. These include anxiety, uncertainty, bereavement and loss, relationship stresses, feeling unheard and unseen, low mood, loss of motivation and isolation, and feelings that are more hidden and not clearly understood. As an integrative psychotherapist, I can offer a range of approaches that are tailored to your individual needs.
Therapy involves having time in a supportive, safe space to feel able to explore whatever issues you might be facing. I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach, working with compassion and care to find ways forward at the pace that is right for you.
Practice description
I offer short-term and long-term counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, and I abide by the UKCP code of ethics. I offer choices for exploration and enquiry using arts, mindfulness and the natural world.
Our 50-minute sessions take place on the same day at the same time each week. I can work with you on a wide range of difficulties and issues that we encounter in life.
I can offer you:
space and time to reflect and think together,
an opportunity to deepen and expand understanding of yourself and your circumstances,
space for insights and new perspectives to emerge
space to navigating choices and pathways ahead,
support and encouragement during a process of adjustment and change.
I have a particular interest in working with life transitions and relationships, bereavement and loss, women’s issues, becoming a mother or father, parenting, families, carers, midlife and older adults, long-term health conditions, creativity, spirituality and existential questions. I have undergone CPD courses in many areas, including couples therapy, mindfulness and spirituality, bereavement, facilitating groups and reflective practice.
I have a Master’s degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Warwick. Prior to psychotherapy training, I studied education and literature and worked in educational and charity settings in teaching, training and facilitating reflective practice groups. I have worked therapeutically with those affected by cancer and with young people in chronic pain, using arts and poetry. I am a co-facilitator of Project Matrescence, supporting those navigating motherhood.
