About me and my therapy practice
Is uncertainty making you feel anxious and stressed at the moment? Perhaps you have had a big life change recently, or you have been questioning the place you are in for a while and want to find yourself some clarity now.
I want to help you make sense of those thoughts and emotions which have been taking up a lot of space, causing difficulties in relationships, or blocking you from make the changes you've been wanting to make. It might be that something from your past needs processing and healing, and you're finally feeling ready to explore this safely.
How can I help you?
I know searching for the right therapist can be a daunting process, so I want to paint a picture of what our sessions would look like together.
I believe our past experiences shape our present. Together, we will create a safe space for you to explore and untangle the threads of your life story, uncovering the hidden patterns that are influencing you today.
I'll be your trusted guide in a collaborative and human-to-human process. With healing and growth at the centre of our work, I will support you to overcome challenges, explore your true identity and find purpose and meaning, embracing the changes you've been wanting to make.
I work integratively with psychodynamic and existential foundations - this means we will:
- Look to the past and how this has shaped you into the person you are today, how you relate to others, and how you view yourself.
- Explore what is happening for you today, paying attention to your unique journey in life, unconscious patterns, attachment styles, defence mechanisms and more.
- Strengthen your inner therapist tools, giving you more confidence to work through life's challenges independently.
- We'll work to your individuality, trying different creative or mindfulness activities to find what really works for yo.

My first session
Getting started
You will probably have lots of questions, and want to figure out if I would be a good fit for what you are looking for right now.
We would first meet for an initial 50-minute session to talk through your needs and goals together and explore what it would look like to start working together. This will give us a good amount of time to connect - there are no commitments at this stage, and I know how important it is to find the best therapist for you.
If you would like to start working together, we would then meet at the same time and day each week for 50 minutes. We'll regularly check in with how you're finding the sessions and whether there is anything you feel we've missed that you'd like to be working on, to make sure you're getting the most from the work.
Investment
Initial sessions: £45
Weekly sessions thereafter: £60
If you have any questions about the cost of sessions, please let me know in our initial session - I occasionally have reduced-fee slots available for people on lower incomes.
Number of sessions
This is completely up to you! I generally work on a long-term and open-ended basis, but you might prefer to start with a set number of sessions and go from there. If that's the case, I would usually recommend starting with 6 sessions to allow the therapeutic relationship some time to develop.
What I can help with
ADD / ADHD, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Body/somatic therapy, Cancer, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
