About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my profile,
There may be many paths that have led you here. You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger or whatever it may be. These symptoms may be putting a strain on your life and relationships. I do not work to simply treat a symptom, I work to create deep shifts and healing. For example, if you have a headache caused by a tooth ache, you need the tooth repaired and not painkillers. Sometimes of course, you need both.
Whatever the suffering you have encountered on your journey, I will meet you right where you are. It is in this space in the therapy room we can encounter these issues and begin to find not just healing, but meaning. Your story is personal and unique and that needs to be honoured, that is why my therapy is not a one size fits all.
I have a Masters Degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology. I am MÍø±¬ÃÅ registered therapist as well as a coach (Psychosynthesis Leadership Diploma).
I feel privileged to be able to do this work and to engage with many people who are on this journey called life. I am constantly humbled and evolving in the therapy space which guides me to continue to develop and learn more skills. If you feel a resonance and a desire to work with me, feel free to contact me, I will look forward to talking to you and looking at the next steps together.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist I drawn upon many disciplines and can be flexible in my approach. In my sessions we won't simply talk (unless that's what is needed) but we may use different excercises and techniques that will help you understand yourself better. My approach involves, body, mind and soul, the whole of you is included. For example, we may work with trapped energies in the body, we may work with subpersonalities (like internal family systems) or we may work with purpose and meaning and where you find your place in the world. Again, the whole of you is welcome and none of you is left out.
I view the therapy space as 'our space', a space we co-create together. I am not 'doing' anything to you as a person, because you are not an object. I say this to assure you I will not lead you anywhere you are not willing. But instead through this space we create together we follow particular paths leading to more understanding, knowledge, power, strength, resilience, healing, compassion, integrity and ultimately more wholeness.
We can work together by focusing on more specific issues or we can work with your direct experience as things unfold week to week. To use a metaphor for this process, imagine a hike up a mountain. We can either map out and choose specific routes, or we can follow the peak and see what is revealed on the way.
And to go further into this metaphor, I will act as your guide, someone who has walked this terrain before and understands the environment. This means when we come across, high cliffs, slippery slopes, or even a smooth open field I will know what tools or skills are needed to get through the journey, and when it is perhaps time to rest weary legs and enjoy the view.
