Availability
I have current availability within my practice for both in person and online sessions. My in person sessions take place in East Putney or Richmond, South West London. Online sessions are held via Google Meet. I work on Monday day time and evening, and Tuesday-Thursday evenings. Please get in contact for my current availability.
About me and my therapy practice
I am not here to analyse or advise you, but to listen and accompany you with warmth, sensitivity and acceptance in your exploration of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. There is something incredibly powerful in the experience of being heard and listened to by another, and my intention is to offer you this experience. My hope is that this will support you to process challenging feelings, develop insights and deepen the trust you hold in yourself to live a life that aligns with who you want to be.
I offer my clients a confidential and respectful environment to explore and develop self-awareness, healing and self-responsibility, which can help you lead a more fulfilling life that aligns with your belief system. I will work with you to bring awareness and understanding to your unique experience with the world around you. By bringing light to areas out of your awareness in a collaborative, warm, empathic way, I believe positive change can arise.
Through my warmth, curiosity, and ability to sit in the unknown, I am dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that every individual has the capacity for personal growth, acceptance, and autonomy, and I strive to facilitate this process through empathic and compassionate presence.
I work relationally, which means that, at times, I draw on the relationship that we build together in the therapy room. This is effective in bringing awareness to relational patterns that may be occurring outside of the therapy room. With this awareness, my hope is that you'll feel equipped to make the changes you feel beneficial in your relationships: either in your relationship to self or to others.
I am committed to recognising and challenging the systemic power imbalances that can affect our lives. I prioritise creating a therapeutic environment that is inclusive and respectful of all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or experiences.
Practice description
If you are interested in working together, I offer a free 20-minute video call on Google Meet where you can ask any questions you may have and gain an understanding of how we might work together. For me, the therapeutic relationship forms an integral part of the work so it is important that you feel I am the right therapist for you. If I am not, I am happy to point you towards some resources where you might continue your search.
After our introductory call, we will agree the time and place to meet for our first session. The aim for your first session is for you to get an idea on whether you might be able to work with me, to achieve your goals in a therapeutic relationship, and how I can support you to achieve these goals.
In the first few sessions we can explore any questions you might have about the therapy process and we will get to know one another. I am led by you as the expert of your own experience and will offer you an honest and open space to explore what might be challenging you. We will discuss the length of time you wish to engage with therapy for; I offer short term (6-12 sessions) or longer term, open-ended therapy, depending on what you want to focus on in therapy.
