About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page, whether you're navigating a life change, managing anxiety or stress, feeling disconnected in your relationship, or simply struggling to make sense of things, you are not on your own. Reaching out is the first step in creating meaningful change and I'm here to support you through the process.
As an integrative counsellor, I work with individuals and couples, offering personalised support to help you move through life’s challenges. I believe therapy should reflect who you are, which is why I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach.
Instead, I draw from a blend of therapeutic methods, including:
Person-Centred Therapy – offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you feel truly heard
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – helping you identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours
Transactional Analysis (TA) – looking at how past experiences shape your interactions and self-view
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) – using language and behaviour patterns to support change
If it feels right, I also bring in creative ways of working. This can help unlock deeper insight and self-awareness, especially when words are hard to find. We might use imagery, natural objects, doodling, Playdoh, or nesting dolls to explore your experiences in new ways. Our work together will always centre around what feels most helpful for you.
I support clients with a wide range of concerns, including (but not limited to):
Anxiety & panic attacks
Depression & low mood
Relationship issues & communication challenges
Stress & burnout
Grief, loss & bereavement
Divorce or separation
Low self-esteem or confidence
Social anxiety
Loneliness or feeling 'stuck'
OCD, phobias & fears
Chronic pain & health-related issues
Menopause & hormonal changes
Trauma (including emotional, physical & sexual abuse)
Self-harm & suicidal thoughts
Life transitions: redundancy, empty-nest, identity shifts
Co-dependency & bullying.
Practice description
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever’s on your mind. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, helping you gain new perspectives on your past and a clearer view of your future.
We’ll work at your pace to better understand what’s going on for you and find new ways to manage or make positive changes in the areas of life that feel difficult right now.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and respectful. This is your space to feel heard, supported, and understood.
Counselling can be either short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or longer-term to explore deeper or ongoing challenges. We’ll decide together what feels most helpful for you.
When you get in touch, we’ll arrange a free initial telephone call. This is a chance for you to share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like support with. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and help you decide whether this feels like the right fit for you.
There’s no obligation to book a session afterwards—this call is simply a space to explore whether working together feels right.
Appointments are available online or in person in Marlborough, Wiltshire or Newbury, Berkshire.
My first session
In our first session, we’ll talk more about your personal experiences and any goals you may have. Together, we’ll agree on how we’ll work going forward, and take the time you need to begin exploring your thoughts and feelings. There’s no rush to discuss everything in your first session, this is your space, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
We’ll also have regular reviews to reflect on how things are going. This helps us make sure the sessions continue to feel helpful and gives us space to adjust how we work if needed.
Please feel free to get in touch and let me know a little about what you’re looking for support with. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
For Couples Counselling:
If you’re looking for support as a couple, we’ll start with a free, no-obligation online meeting with both of you. This is an opportunity to talk about what’s brought you to couples counselling, what you hope to get from it, and how I can support you on that journey.
Couples sessions are held in person in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
