About me and my therapy practice
My name is Paulette, I am a qualified integrative counsellor. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ) and follow their Ethical Framework, ensuring you receive the highest level of professional and confidential care.
I offer both face-to-face and online counselling. With a strong commitment to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space, where you can be heard and understood. I utilise a Person-Centred approach that allows us to explore your unique experiences and feelings.
I have counselled people with issues including, anxiety, depression, anger management, domestic and sexual abuse, relationship issues, grief, loss low self-esteem etc. This experience has prepared me to support others that are experiencing difficulties in their life.
For many years I worked as a Harassment Support Contact where I would help people experiencing bullying at work. I have always had people randomly opening up to me about their inner secrets, problems, and traumatic experiences.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
Practice description
I offer counselling for adults and young people. As well as utilizing a Person Centred approach I also use Psychodynamic approach. This allows us to look into your childhood and past experiences. My aim is to help you uncover unwanted patterns and behaviours that may be holding you back. By fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, we can work collaboratively to identify pathways for change and personal growth. While I won’t provide direct advice, I will support you in discovering the answers that lie within you.
I work with both short-term and longer-term concerns, and together, we will identify what you wish to focus on during our sessions. My approach is flexible, allowing us to adapt our work as your needs evolve.
My first session
In the first session we will get to know each other and identify your reasons for pursuing therapy. We will discuss your goals and what you wish to achieve out of your therapy sessions. Each session lasts 50 minutes. You are free to explore your concerns in a safe space.
