About me and my therapy practice

I am a person-centred counsellor, grounded in the belief that we all carry an innate drive toward growth, healing, and fulfilment. My focus is on exploring unconscious patterns—habits of thought, feeling, and behaviour that often shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. These patterns usually begin in childhood, and while they once helped us cope, they can limit us later in life. Together, we can uncover and gently work through them, creating space for new ways of relating and living.

A central part of this process is addressing unmet needs in childhood. I am especially interested in reparenting—learning to give ourselves the compassion, understanding, and boundaries we may have lacked growing up. This is not about blame, but about taking responsibility for our healing and finding ways to nurture ourselves now.

I am also trained in a creative method of trauma processing using imagery and storytelling. This approach allows painful memories to be revisited safely, without retraumatising, and reworked in a way that honours your pace and needs.

I work with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adoption-related anxieties, midlife transitions, menopause, neurodiversity, and relationship struggles with partners, family, or children. Whatever the issue, therapy offers a space to pause, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

I feel deeply passionate about supporting others to reconnect with themselves, rediscover their resilience, and embrace their capacity for change. Therapy is not about fixing you—you are not broken. It is about walking alongside you with empathy and authenticity, creating space for growth, healing, and self-connection.

If this resonates, I warmly invite you to get in touch.

Practice description

About My Practice

In my counselling practice, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can bring whatever feels heavy, confusing, or difficult in your life. My approach is person-centred, rooted in empathy, authenticity, and the belief that you already hold the potential for growth and healing within you.

I mainly work online, making therapy accessible and flexible, but I also offer face-to-face sessions in Truro upon discussion. To help you decide whether I am the right fit for you, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can talk about what brings you to counselling and how we might work together.

I work with a wide range of issues, including:

Anxiety and depression

Grief and loss

Adoption-related anxieties

Midlife transitions and crisis

Menopause and other life-stage challenges

Relationship struggles, whether with a partner, within family, or between parent and child

Neurodiversity and the unique challenges it can bring

General life changes that feel overwhelming or unsettling

Alongside the person-centred foundation, I bring a special focus on exploring unconscious patterns—those deep-rooted ways of thinking and relating that often keep us stuck in painful cycles. These patterns usually stem from childhood, and while they once helped us cope, they can make us feel trapped in adulthood. Together, we can uncover and gently address unmet needs from the past, so that they no longer dictate the present.

I also have training in creative trauma-processing techniques that use imagery and storytelling. This method allows us to revisit painful experiences safely, without retraumatising, and to reframe them in a way that honours your needs and helps you move forward.

If you feel called to explore this work, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

My first session

Your First Session

I offer a free 20-minute consultation, giving us a chance to meet and see whether working together feels like a good fit. During this time, you are welcome to share a little about what has brought you to counselling, and I will explain how I work. There is no obligation at this stage—you can take up to 48 hours afterwards to decide if you would like to continue.

If you choose to move forward, we will agree on a starting date and time for our sessions. I will then send you a counselling contract, which outlines the practical details of our work together. Once I have received the signed contract, we can begin with your first full session.

Sessions are 60 minutes and cost £45, payable upfront before each appointment.
