About me and my therapy practice
First and foremost my work is relational. As humans we have a need to connect authentically with ourselves and with others, difficulties can arise where this has not been possible.
Coming to therapy can be daunting; being asked to put your faith in a stranger. My central focus is on building a therapeutic relationship which is reliable, warm and non-judgemental. From this place, we can explore together how you relate to yourself and to others in your life. We work with your personal history and past relationships as well as with what is happening for you in your current situation.
Central to my way of working is to bring awareness to experiences and feelings that may previously have been pushed down or away and to allow these to be processed and understood with new perspective.
We will work at a pace and depth that meets your needs. As a person-centred practitioner my focus is on what you choose to bring to sessions and by exploring this together we can find deeper insight.
It won't always feel easy, but through this process its possible to find space for growth, change and deeper connection to yourself and others.
Practice description
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, bringing together psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. I have experience working with a wide range of clients and presentations.
I offer both open ended and short term individual therapy. Sessions are available online via Zoom or face to face from therapy rooms in London E1.
Sessions are available weekdays, daytime and evening. Please email for more details.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me, I offer a free initial 20 minute Zoom consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have before making a decision to go ahead and for me its an opportunity to find out more about your aims and expectations for the work.
If you decide to go ahead, session are 50 minutes on a weekly basis. In the first session my priority will be to get to know you and find out more about your personal history and the issues which have brought you to counselling. We will go through a short assessment process together which helps me understand more about how the issues you are bringing are impacting you day to day.
