About me and my therapy practice
Do you long to feel truly heard, seen and understood鈥攑erhaps for the first time?
If you鈥檙e facing life鈥檚 stresses, daily anxiety, self-doubt, or the weight of past experiences, you don鈥檛 have to go through this alone. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where we can explore these challenges together at a pace that feels right for you.
As a creative arts counsellor, I combine talking therapy with the option of expressive approaches鈥攗sing materials such as pastels, clay, paint, or pen and paper. You don鈥檛 need to be 鈥済ood at art鈥 to benefit; creative methods can help when words aren鈥檛 enough, offering regulation, new perspectives, and gentle ways to process trauma.
When anxiety, burnout or trauma begin to shape daily life, it can feel overwhelming. With the right support and the power of creative expression, it is possible to feel more grounded, connected, and at peace.
My approach is warm, person-centred and flexible. I also draw on psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives, tailoring the work to your unique needs. At the heart of our sessions is a collaborative relationship built on kindness, curiosity, and trust鈥攕ometimes bringing in humour or gentle challenge when it feels right.
Whether you鈥檙e struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, or self-doubt, I鈥檒l offer a space where you can work towards healing and growth. You don鈥檛 have to carry these challenges alone. Together we can explore, express, and move towards the changes you hope for鈥攁lways at a pace that feels right for you.
Practice description
All sessions are tailored to your needs and can involve working with the arts but can also involve just talking.
What can a Creative Therapy session look like?
Creative therapy uses talking, just like conventional counselling, but adds the power of the arts. This can include using drawing painting, pastels, clay or sand tray for example, as a way to help express difficult feelings and emotions, especially when words are not enough or are difficult to find. Using a variety of art materials, can help you gain new and deeper insights.
For those who have experienced trauma or difficult life events, the arts can be particularly helpful. It provides a safe, unpressured space to express emotions that may be difficult to articulate. This approach can help you process complex feelings, especially when you're feeling overwhelmed, and regain a sense of control over what life鈥檚 challenges may have taken away. Together, we can explore your life and relationships from new perspectives, allowing you to reshape your story in a way that feels more manageable.
I currently work out of the Happy Body Project near Bedford. Set in beautiful countryside, the rooms are calming and inviting with all rooms being accessible and on the ground floor.

My first session
Typically the first session is a chance for me to find out more about you and what your are looking for in terms of personal goals. This would be as an informal assessment where you would tell me more about what has brought you to therapy, your family history and your daily life.
We would typically meet once a week at the same time, but there is flexibility if this doesn鈥檛 fit with your needs. There are no set number of sessions, instead focusing on what works best for you, whether this is in person or online.
I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I offer a free, 20-minute online chat where you can ask questions and get a feel for how I work. There is no pressure to continue, and this is a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable moving forward. If it feels like a good fit, we can take the next step together.
I offer both face to face and online sessions.
Due to also being an experienced teacher, I have an interest in supporting parents, carers and adult siblings of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and I have extensive experience in working with neurodivergent individuals.
