About me and my therapy practice

After working in schools for many years and witnessing young people's voices not being heard, I wanted to provide a warm and nurturing space that encourages young people to feel heard, seen, understood and most of all safe to fully express themselves. My integrative approach means I work intuitively through a trauma informed lens, as well as incorporating a range of different psychotherapeutic models (attachment, neuroscience, emotional regulation and humanistic and psychodynamic approaches). I believe the arts and play can be incredibly beneficial when working through painful themes.

Practice description

After working in schools for many years and witnessing young people's voices not being heard, I wanted to provide a warm and nurturing space that encourages young people to feel heard, seen, understood and most of all safe to fully express themselves. My integrative approach means I work intuitively through a trauma informed lens, as well as incorporating a range of different psychotherapeutic models (attachment, neuroscience, emotional regulation and humanistic and psychodynamic approaches). I believe the arts and play can be incredibly beneficial when working through painful themes.

I provide a non-judgemental space when working with parents, children and adolescents and work with many different themes such as: trauma (little and big), neurodiversity, divorce and separation, friendship issues, bereavement, abuse and more. Dan Hughes' PACE model sits are the core of my work, as I offer, playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy.

As Irvin Yalom once said "It is the relationship that heals". There is no shame in asking for help and support. I feel a whole team approach is incredibly important. You as the parent/s are the expert when it comes to your child, I will support you in feeling well equipped and confident in meeting your child's needs. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

My first session

I offer an initial introductory call for 20 minutes (free of charge).

If it feels like the right fit for you, we will book in an initial parent consultation. During the first meeting, we will discuss your child’s presentation, family history and assess if this is the right therapy for them. After this, I usually suggest 4-6 sessions before reviewing and deciding together the next course of action.
