About me and my therapy practice
I am dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative space where you can explore yourself with curiosity, compassion, and care. My training is integrative, and my approach is holistic which means I draw from a variety of resources to tailor my support to your unique story 鈥 how you are now, where you鈥檝e been, and what truly matters to you.
Together, we can gently uncover what lies beneath the surface: emotions, patterns, and past experiences that may be shaping your present. Through this process you have the potential to discover new perspectives, deepen your self-awareness, feel more aligned with your values, and strengthen your connection to yourself and others 鈥 essential foundations for healing and meaningful change.
Practice description
Therapy is both an art and a science 鈥 rooted in lived experience and shaped by the relational space we create together. My approach is integrative and relational, drawing from a range of modalities to meet your unique needs. At its core, I see therapy as a secure, nurturing space where you can explore your internal world with compassion, curiosity, and depth.
I work phenomenologically, meaning I am interested in how you experience your life as it unfolds 鈥 moment by moment, in the here and now. This includes tuning into your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and relational patterns, and holding space for both the conscious and unconscious aspects of your experience.
Alongside psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential modalities, I integrate methods from Gestalt therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Gestalt invites us into present-moment awareness, helping us notice how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. IFS provides a powerful framework for working with the different 鈥減arts鈥 of ourselves 鈥 whether protective, wounded, or wise 鈥 so that we can develop greater internal harmony and self-compassion. Through these approaches, we can explore how fragmented or conflicted parts of your experience may be keeping you stuck and invite gentle integration and healing.
My first session
Our first session will be a full assessment. This is an opportunity for me to get to know you, your background, and to begin understanding the concerns you'd like to explore. It鈥檚 also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and to see if you feel comfortable moving forward together 鈥 essentially, to see if we鈥檙e a good fit.
I don鈥檛 offer brief introductory calls, as I find they don鈥檛 provide enough time or depth to meaningfully explore whether our work together would be beneficial. A full assessment session is the best way for us to begin that process with the thoughtfulness it deserves.
