About me and my therapy practice
Are you going through a difficult transition? Struggling to make sense of relationships or experiences? I may be able to help. My name is Han, and I'm a therapist based in Edinburgh with years of experience counselling adults and young people. I have over four years of experience working with a wide variety of clients and especially LGBTQ+ clients. In the counselling room, I bring with me this clinical perspective as well as my own personal experience of the world and what it is to be human.
I'm trained in psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, and I often work with clients exploring the connection between their past and present. Other times, sessions stay more in the here and now, grappling with confusing, painful experiences, emerging or developed identities, relationships and more.
Practice description
In my work with clients, I have come to find that we walk through life holding and collecting stories about us and the world around us. Therapy can be a place where we explore these stories and have the opportunity to create new ones. Sessions last 50 minutes and are a place where we can explore feelings and experiences which are on your mind. We can work together to ensure that the format and pacing of our sessions suits you and your process. Please get in touch if you’d like to explore working together.
My first session
Like other sessions, initial sessions last 50 minutes and are a place where we can explore what has brought you to therapy and if we would be a good fit. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

About me and my therapy practice
My name is Han (they/them), and I am a counsellor trained in both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. I often work psychodynamically, exploring the connection between the past and the present. Other times, work with clients stays more in the here and now, grappling with confusing, painful experiences, emerging or developed identities, and relationships. I specialise in issues facing the LGBTQ+ community (especially transgender clients) as well as complex trauma and dissociation.
Practice description
In the counselling room, I bring with me both my practical training and my personal experience. I look to you as the expert in your life, emotions and experiences, and I seek to make sense of emerging themes with you. From my own experience and my work with clients, I have come to find that we walk through life holding, collecting, dispelling stories about us and the world around us. Therapy can be a place where we explore these stories and have the opportunity to create new ones.
My first session
Before our first session, I will send over a Counselling Agreement and a Personal Questionnaire. I ask that you take a look at these documents, fill out and send back. Alternatively, we can discuss them together during that initial appointment.
