Searching for the right counsellor among the sea of faces and words can be overwhelming, so thank you for taking the time to stop by to read what I have to say.
I understand why it matters to find a counsellor you can trust and help you find the courage to explore the difficulties that are troubling you; someone who can help you discover what you need and patiently work at your pace. I know from my own experience of being a client what a huge difference it can make and, because of that, it is always my hope that you would leave each session feeling you have been really listened to, understood and supported.
I aim to provide you with a space where you can talk freely; this can help you to untangle your thoughts and feelings, and be useful when you find yourself:
struggling with your mental health
feeling stuck
working through loss and bereavement
on the other side of a traumatic event
in the midst of a dilemma
navigating tricky relationships in your life
dealing with or facing a health condition
Practice description
I work with adults of all ages, at all stages of life. As an integrative relational counsellor, I believe that the counselling relationship we develop is key to the success of the work we do. In my work I draw on the training I’ve had in a variety of counselling approaches as my aim is to work with you in a way that fits who you are as a person, the needs that you have and the outcomes you hope for. When appropriate, I offer creative ways of working as this can be helpful when words are hard to find.
In my private practice I work solely online: research has proven this way of working is just as effective as working face-to-face.

My first session
I offer a free, no obligation, 20 minute conversation that can be online or over the phone. This provides an opportunity for us to meet and get a sense of whether we might like to try working together.
Our first counselling session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other further so I can gain a detailed understanding what brings you to seek counselling. As part of this, I will ask some assessment questions to ensure that my abilities as a counsellor are a good fit for your needs and what you would like help with.
