About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding relationships - romantic, family, friendship, or your relationship with yourself - harder than you expected? You might feel anxious, stuck in old patterns, or unsure of how to express your needs. Maybe you’ve been through a challenging experience recently, or things from the past keep resurfacing in ways you don’t fully understand.
Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to unpack it alone.
Hi, I’m Sarah. I'm an integrative therapist based in SE26, and I help people make sense of what’s happening inside them so they can feel more grounded, confident, and connected in their relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative and steady. Together we explore what’s not working, what you long for, and what needs attention so you can move forward in a way that feels true for you.
As a member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, I receive regular supervision, undertake ongoing training, and work inclusively with clients of all genders, sexualities, identities and backgrounds.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working as a people manager and mental-health advocate, supporting individuals through workplace stress, burnout and significant life transitions.
I currently work privately, with experience counselling in the NHS and charity organisations.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re not used to opening up or you’re unsure what to expect. My aim is to create a calm, friendly, welcoming space where you can talk freely without judgement or pressure.
Some people come wanting to understand their anxiety or self-esteem; others want help navigating relationships, boundaries, people-pleasing, or patterns that repeat. You don’t need to arrive with clear answers - we uncover them together.
In our sessions, we might explore:
• your relationship patterns and dynamics
• anxiety, overthinking and self-criticism
• people-pleasing, perfectionism or overwhelm
• childhood or family experiences shaping how you feel today
• boundaries, communication and emotional balance
• how to reconnect with your needs, values and sense of self
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from several therapeutic approaches depending on what suits you. We’ll mainly talk things through together, and occasionally I might offer a somatic exercise or a guided visualisation if you feel open to trying it. There’s never any pressure - you decide what feels helpful, and we move at your pace. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and we can work short-term around specific goals, or longer-term if you’d like deeper exploration.
If what you’re reading resonates, you’re welcome to arrange a free 15-minute phone or video call to see how we might work together.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute call so you can get a feel for me and ask any questions. There’s no pressure to share anything personal — it’s simply a chance to see if working together feels right.
If we decide to begin, we’ll schedule a first session where we talk about what’s brought you here and what you hope for. Many people say they feel a sense of relief after this initial step.
What I can help with
Abuse, Adoption, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Neurodiversity, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
Types of therapy
