I offer counselling therapy for adults and young people over 18yrs of age and offer face to face, online and telephone appointments in the Romsey and Southampton area . I currently have availablity on Fridays.
It is important that you are able to explore what you want to get from counselling and to see if we would be a good fit, so I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone appointment.
This is also a good opportunity for you to ask any questions about counselling and how I work as a therapist.
About me and my therapy practice
When life is difficult it can lead to feelings of isolation, feelings of being overwhelmed as well as feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress.
You may find that you are carrying worries from the past or have worries about the future which are affecting you today.
I offer a safe, confidential place to explore what brings you to counselling within a warm, accepting, professional relationship where you can be your true self.
I use a pluralistic approach, which is person centred at the core but uses CBT, psychodynamic, and other humanistic modalities. The emphasis is on the therapeutic relationship and that we decide together which modality would suit you best to reach your goals.
I offer short term and long term counselling.

A bit about me-
I initially set out along the nursing career path as such I’m a trained registered nurse who has caring people for over the last 30 years, this has given me a wealth of life experience and challenges which has provided me with a great stepping stop to move in to the Counselling arena.
I am experienced in collaborating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger, low self-esteem, and stress. I understand that it can be difficult to reach out for support and my aim is to provide a warm and empathetic space to explore issues that are important to the person seeking support and hoping to find meaning and relief.
My first session
Its important that you feel that you are able to explore what you would like to gain from therapy. You may not know what you want to start with and that is also ok.
Sometimes it takes time for things to become clearer.
My approach is collaborative so we work together to help bring about change.
