About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out to a Counsellor can feel like a big step in itself, so firstly, a warm welcome from me.
Whatever it is that has made you consider Counselling, good for you, that's a first step to creating something different already!
As an Integrative Counsellor I work in a flexible and warm way, although this doesn't mean we avoid the uncomfortable topics or getting down to the underlying possibilities of what might be going on for you. It means I work with great respect for the person sitting opposite me and aim to facilitate an experience in which my client is comfortable and feels safe enough to explore whatever has brought them to me.
This might be:
Anxiety
Depression
Relationship issues
Self-esteem/confidence
Trauma
Parental/family issues
Bereavement
Identity issues
Abuse
Life transitions
And many more.
Practice description
I'm a qualified (level 6) Integrative Counsellor with a BSc Hon Degree.
I'm a Registered Member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ and NCPS.
I have experience with a diverse client group from my experience of working for the NHS, charities and private practice. This includes ages from 12- retirement+
My charity work is with clients who have suffered rape and sexual assault, so I have a lot of experience working with trauma. I work in 1-1 sessions with these clients but also run group therapy sessions at various locations.
As part of my commitment to offering my clients the best I can, I also attend regular Continued Professional Development courses and activities, keeping my knowledge and skills developing and evolving continuously.
My first session
First sessions require a bit of paper work, but I always stress that this is not wasted time, but a really effective way for me to understand what it is we'll be working with.

I also offer discounted sessions to therapists in training of £40 per session.
