About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Amy, a fully qualified, Íø±¬ÃÅ registered counsellor, with a passion for helping people with their mental health. I offer online and telephone sessions, and in-person sessions in the Solihull area.

Having previously volunteered in local charities, including Solihull Mind and in my current employment, I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, supporting them with common mental health problems and many difficult life experiences. Alongside this I also run my own independent practice, seeing both online and in-person clients.

Practice description

Life can be overwhelming at times, and struggling with your mental health can be a lonely experience. Whilst the way we all experience these challenges will differ from one person to the next, there is often a common theme – we can feel stuck and lack a sense of control.

You might find yourself in repeated patterns, trying to "power through" and left hoping that at some point things might change.

I understand that reaching out for support can be a daunting step and it's not always easy to know where to begin.

In sessions, I aim to provide a supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment, and talk openly about your thoughts and feelings.

Together, we’ll work at your pace to navigate those difficult emotions, identify unhelpful patterns and explore some practical strategies to support your mental health - with the goal to make changes that last.

As an integrative counsellor, I do not believe in a one size fits all approach, instead I take methods from different counselling approaches to suit you as an individual, recognising that your struggles and experiences are unique.

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and I hold regular reviews to make sure we are working on what is most important to you.

All topics and emotions are welcome. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Get in touch...

If you are ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free 20-minute phone call to see if we are able to work together and answer any questions you might have.

It is really important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor and are getting what you need from your sessions. If for any reason during our work together you feel I am not the right counsellor for you, you are not obliged to continue your sessions.

For more information about the way I work and what to expect from counselling, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

If you contact me through Íø±¬ÃÅ, please be sure to check both your inbox and junk for your reply from contact@speakyourmindcounselling.co.uk
