About me and my therapy practice

🌱 Counselling with Faye Hont 🌱

Integrative Counsellor & Trainee Clinical Psychologist

I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where we can explore whatever you are going through.

My core therapeutic model is Person-Centred Therapy, with the integration of additional therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Transactional Analysis. By working in this way, I can tailor sessions to you as an individual, acknowledging that each person’s journey and therapy goals are unique.

I am currently completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, alongside my work as a qualified Counsellor. My training includes a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing in Clinical Practice, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Over the past several years, and as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, I have worked in a variety of NHS services, supporting adults, children, young people, older adults, individuals with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and physical health conditions. Through these roles, I have supported people with many different issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress, low self-esteem, identity and relationship challenges, abuse, and health-related concerns. Whether you are looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, I aim to work collaboratively with you to find the right path forward.

I am based on the Wirral and can offer both in-person and online sessions. If you would like to know more, please feel free to get in touch with me directly.
