About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced therapeutic counsellor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve emotional well-being.
A therapeutic counsellor, with a Level 4 Counselling Diploma. I have experience working within private and school counselling settings across the West Midlands, for Barnardo’s, SOLAR in Solihull and an anti-knife violence charity. I also have had additional specialist training in working with those who are neurodivergent, menopausal or struggling with grief and loss.
As a registered MÍø±¬ÃÅ counsellor, I specialise in offering compassionate support for children, adolescents, adults, and women experiencing post- or peri menopausal linked difficulties.
I am a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, enhanced DBS compliant, and fully insured.
I offer private one-to-one counselling sessions for:
Stress and Anxiety

Self harm
Support for Children and Adolescents - As an experienced pastoral lead and teacher in primary, secondary and sixth form settings, I understand the unique challenges facing young people today, particularly in an era of social media, increased anxiety levels, and global pandemics, and I offer focused support for the mental health of teenagers and young adults.
Counselling for Adults - As a therapeutic counsellor, I offer compassionate and effective support for adults facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges; including anxiety and stress management, depression and low mood, self-esteem and confidence issues, relationship difficulties, work related stress, life transitions and personal growth, grief and loss, and trauma.
Menopause Counselling - I also specialise in supporting women navigating the physical and emotional challenges of menopause using the innovative EMBERS® Menopause-Informed CBT Model. EMBERS® is a non-hormonal, six-stage psychological framework designed to help women experiencing emotional difficulties caused by the menopausal transition.
Practice description
I offer individual counselling sessions fo 45/50mins. An introductory first discussion is usually followed by client assessment, and an individual contract is arranged for consideration.
Clients, and if appropriate, parents/guardians are encouraged to be part of the initial assessment process so that they are aware of, and can agree to, plans for the therapeutic contract. An initial 6-week block of weekly sessions then follows. These confidential sessions are organized according to individual need and take place face to face in a dedicated therapy space, on Zoom or in another suitable venue (home/school with prior agreement).
Fees payable at the start of the agreed course.
My first session
I offer a free-of-charge initial discussion with a client to assess/discuss needs, expectations and my offer.
