About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Lisa Hall (she/her) and I'm a Yorkshire based person-centred counsellor. You are welcome whatever your sexuality or gender, I offer a safe therapeutic environment for everyone, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.
I know that reaching out to someone you don't know and asking for help can be a really difficult thing to do. So, I provide a warm, welcoming, safe and non-judgmental counselling environment where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, issues and any difficult past experiences you may have endured.
My aim is to support you as you make sense of whatever is troubling you and to help you find ways of resolving the issues that are causing you difficulty in your life.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified counsellor and member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their ethical framework.
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert on yourself. You have the best understanding of your situation and experiences, what hurts and what problems are important to you. I. offer a confidential, safe and accepting space which is free from judgement and expectations. We will explore the challenges you are facing, at your pace and I will never ask you to share more than you feel comfortable with. I believe that given the right conditions everyone is capable of growth and healing.
I have experience working with clients exploring a variety of challenges including stress, divorce, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, emotional and physical abuse, gender identity and sexuality.
