About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative counsellor which means I can draw on a range of ideas to support our work together. I commit to providing a compassionate environment where you can feel valued and accepted. From this place of safety, together we can begin to process what is going on for you. Counselling is a space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour. This can lead to a greater understanding of the self and, where relevant, empower you to begin to make changes in your life.
I work with both adults and young people (9 +).
I have achieved the CPCAB Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.
I have a Level 6 qualification in British Sign Language and am able to work with clients whose natural language is BSL or SSE. My background in working with d/Deaf young people in education has given me an in-depth understanding of the d/Deaf community, along with an increased awareness of the additional difficulties d/Deaf people can experience in a predominantly hearing world.
I have additional understanding and experience of LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergence.
I am committed to providing an inclusive, anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice. I welcome people of all genders and sexualities.
