About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with ADHD/Autism and LGBTQIA+ people. Deciding to start therapy can be a big step. Maybe you’re feeling stuck or desiring change. I’m here to support you.

It can be nerve-wrecking taking that first step to contact a potential therapist. That’s why I like to offer a free 15min phone call so you can get a sense of me and how I work, and you can ask any questions.

When working with me, you can expect a warm, empathetic environment to explore the issues you’re facing and process your feelings. Let's work together to figure out what you need to live the life you desire. It’s my role to support you on a journey of self-discovery so you can understand what might be holding you back. Everyone has a different goal from therapy, but my hope is that you can leave our sessions feeling listened to and understood.

Practice description

My pronouns are she/her. I’m a qualified counsellor working in Edinburgh and online.

I work with clients experiencing a range of issues and clients from different backgrounds and life experiences. I often work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and low self-esteem, and individuals experiencing problems in their work, family or romantic relationships.

I have experience of working with neurodivergence, including ADHD and Autism, and am committed to the neurodiversity affirmative movement. I also have experience working with young adults, particularly university students.

For me, therapy is not here to change you or make you conform. Instead, it's about figuring out how you want to live and how to be confident living by your own rules.

I don’t believe therapy should be depoliticised: social, cultural and political realities affect our mental health. I am committed to social justice and liberatory practices, which informs my practice.

I am trauma-informed and a LGBTIQ+ affirmative counsellor.
