About me and my therapy practice

I'm a qualified psychotherapist offering integrative, trauma-informed therapy for adults, young people, and couples. I provide a warm, collaborative space where you can explore emotional challenges, relationship dynamics, or aspects of identity in a safe and supportive environment.

My work draws from person-centred, psychodynamic, and attachment-based approaches, alongside Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples who want to rebuild connection or navigate conflict. I also offer relationship mediation for families or partners seeking clarity and understanding outside traditional therapy models.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, grief, low mood, or feeling stuck in relational patterns, I will support you in moving toward insight and meaningful change. My practice is culturally sensitive, client-led, and inclusive of all backgrounds.

Practice description

In my practice, I offer a calm, reflective space where individuals, couples, and young people can explore emotional difficulties in a way that feels safe, respectful, and deeply attuned. Sessions are collaborative and flexible—whether we're working short-term with a specific focus or engaging in longer-term exploration.

Each session is shaped around your pace and your voice—honouring the complexity of your story with care and curiosity.

My first session

In our first session, we’ll take time to explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. It’s a chance for you to ask questions, share as much or as little as you feel comfortable, and get a sense of how I work.

I don’t rush the process—we’ll talk through your goals, any previous therapy experiences, and practical things like frequency and focus. If we’re a good fit, we’ll agree on next steps and begin shaping the direction of our work together.

This session is charged at the standard rate and usually lasts 50 minutes.

My first session

The first session of therapy sets the foundation for the therapeutic journey, establishing a safe and collaborative space where individuals can feel heard, understood, and supported.

As the therapist, my primary goal is to create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and concerns.

The first part of the session is dedicated to conducting a thorough assessment of the clients' presenting issues, goals for therapy, and any relevant background information.

Together, we explore the challenges they wish to address, the outcomes they hope to achieve, and the strategies they believe will be most effective in reaching their goals. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of partnership and investment in the therapeutic process, laying the groundwork for meaningful progress and growth.

Throughout the session, I prioritise building rapport and trust with the clients, emphasising the importance of the therapeutic relationship in facilitating healing and transformation.

I emphasise the importance of confidentiality, privacy, and trust in maintaining a secure therapeutic environment. I assure clients that their confidentiality will be respected at all times and that the therapy room is a confidential space where they can feel free to explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or disclosure. By establishing clear boundaries and expectations around confidentiality and privacy.

In summary, the first session of therapy serves as an opportunity to assess clients' needs, collaboratively set goals, build rapport and trust, and create a secure therapeutic environment. By laying this foundation, we establish the groundwork for a productive and empowering therapeutic journey, allowing clients to bring their whole selves into the room and embark on a path of growth, healing, and self-discovery.
