About me and my therapy practice
My Approach:
I have a background in health and social care, including working with people living with Dementia, providing palliative/end of life care, supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and mental health.
I will bring a compassionate and trauma-informed approach to our sessions and the arts can be transformative to help you in understanding your problems when you can't find the words.
Creative ways we could work:
Drawing and Painting: Express your feelings visually.
Clay and Collage: Explore your thoughts through tactile creativity.
Music and Movement: Connect with your emotions through sound and physical expression.
Creative Writing: Find words for what you're experiencing.
Drama: Use storytelling to understand your journey.
Sandtray: Gain new perspectives to understand your issues.
Written Word: Explore stories, metaphors, or texts that are meaningful to you and delve into their themes.
Some sessions we may just talk, and this is ok too.
A Safe Space for you to feel better:
Together, we will create a safe and supportive space where you can express yourself freely. Whether you're dealing with current issues or past experiences, we'll work together to find the right creative outlet to help you understand and work through your feelings.
Supporting You:
Creative counselling can support you if you're facing challenges such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Autism, low self-esteem, stress, trauma, low confidence, mental health challenges, feeling sad, social anxiety, family or relationship issues, grief, and shame.
You Matter, taking the next step is the first to making positive changes in your life.

Practice description
How I Can Help:
As a practitioner with lived experience of Fibromyalgia and CFS, I offer online arts counselling or telephone counselling sessions on Mondays and Fridays.
We'd work together to help you navigate your emotions, relationships, and personal challenges.
Using a variety of art forms, we can find the best way for you to express yourself and understand your feelings.
For many people, online and telephone therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. It can help you manage work/life/family balance, support access due to disability or health, and be cost-effective without the need to travel to a venue. You can also be comfortable at home when we work together.
My first session
In our first session we'll discuss what brings you to counselling and what you're hopes and expectations of creative counselling are.
We can discuss any adjustments or access needs for you to attend - I can offer an additional half an hour to sessions for people with neurodiversity to support settling in time and focus.
Full details on how I facilitate access to counselling is on my website www.createsupport.org under, Access.
