About me and my therapy practice
Welcome, I am Rosalind.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I know first-hand how daunting it is to start on your therapy journey. I'm a qualified counsellor offering a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore whatever’s on your mind. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or just really tough, and you don’t have to face that alone.
I work in a person-centred way, supporting you to explore your own thoughts and feelings so you can find the path that feels right for you. I’ll listen with warmth, empathy and acceptance, helping you connect more deeply with yourself and make sense of your experiences. I believe that when we feel heard and understood just as we are, we begin to discover our own answers and move towards healing and growth.
You might not be sure what you want to talk about, and that’s completely okay. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, self-esteem, loss, or just feeling a bit lost—I’m here to walk alongside you, at your pace, with honesty and compassion.
Practice description
When you begin counselling with me, you can expect to be met with genuine care and respect for who you are. I offer a safe and confidential space where you can speak freely without fear of being judged or dismissed. Our sessions will centre on what feels most important to you, and I’ll support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, however big or small they may feel.
You might be coming to counselling with something specific you want to work through, or perhaps with a general sense that things aren’t quite right. My role is to be alongside you in that space, whether you're looking to understand a pattern, process a past experience, navigate a life transition, or simply create more room for self-awareness and clarity.
My practice is grounded in the belief that everyone has the potential to grow and heal when given the right conditions. I don’t assume or diagnose; I aim to really understand you, as a whole person, not just the challenges you’re facing.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute consultation call prior to the first session, giving us a chance to briefly connect and see if working together feels like the right fit for you. There’s no obligation, just an opportunity to ask questions, share what’s bringing you to counselling, and get a sense of how I work.
I know that taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, especially if it’s something you’ve never done before. Our first session is really about gently getting to know each other and seeing if we’re a good fit.
You’ll be invited to share whatever feels comfortable about what’s brought you here, and I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and talk through what our sessions might look like moving forward. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready—we’ll go at a pace that feels safe for you.
This initial session is also a space for you to get a feel for how it might be to work with me. Building a trusting, authentic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported.
