About me and my therapy practice

Hello

Taking the first step to talk to someone can feel daunting, and it’s completely understandable to feel uneasy when facing difficult emotions. Reaching out to address these feelings is not always easy, but it is an incredibly important step toward healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.

It’s natural to feel hesitant, but seeking support is a courageous act of self-care. Acknowledging your emotions and deciding to face them shows strength and a commitment to your own well-being. This process not only helps to ease the immediate challenges you may be experiencing but also empowers you to develop the tools and understanding needed to navigate life’s complexities with greater resilience and confidence.

Remember, healing is a journey that unfolds at your own pace, and taking that first step, no matter how small, is an act of bravery that sets the foundation for positive change.

I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (BSc Hons) based in Norwich. I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My integrative approach draws on a range of therapeutic theories, allowing me to tailor our sessions to suit your individual needs. I recognise that each person is unique, and what works for one may not work for another.

A significant focus of my work is supporting survivors of sexual abuse and rape. I bring sensitivity, empathy, and deep understanding to working with those who have experienced such trauma. I recognise the immense courage it takes to seek help, and I am committed to providing a space where you feel safe, validated, and heard. Together, we can explore the impacts of your experiences at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on healing, rebuilding self-trust, and fostering resilience.

My first session

In our sessions, you’ll find a supportive and compassionate environment to bring any issue you wish to explore. As a sensitive and experienced listener, I work collaboratively with you to deepen your understanding of yourself and your needs. I believe that greater self-awareness and acceptance empower us to make choices that are more meaningful and live in a way that feels true to ourselves. While the process of self-discovery can be challenging at times, with collaboration and support, it can also be deeply rewarding and transformative.

In addition to face-to-face therapy, I also offer online counselling, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own home. This flexible option ensures that therapy is accessible regardless of your location or circumstances, providing continuity of care no matter where you are.
