For face to face appointments, I work Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays,9.30am till 5pm and Friday and Saturday mornings, from 9.30am till 1pm. For Online and telephone appointments, I work weekdays, and some evenings.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi and welcome. My name is Jenni and I am a warm, empathic and experienced Counsellor. I am a qualified, Person Centred and CBT Counsellor.  My approach is integrative Counselling, combining two great modalities. However, my session are very much client led, therefore, I tailor my sessions, to meet your individual needs. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space, for you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Allowing you to process and unpack any issues or difficulties, you may be facing.  Sometimes we can all benefit, from a neutral person to talk to and give us a different perspective, on our situation.  I offer support, through any difficult situations, you may be facing. My aim is to empower you, so you feel more able to make the healthier and more balanced choices, you are wanting to make. My aim is to assist, in facilitating your growth, and greater wellbeing. 

My qualifications include: SEG ABC Level 4 in Counselling Skills and CPCAB Level 5 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Practice description

I offer a free 20 minute, introductory telephone call, initially, in order for you to get a sense of me, and to give you the chance to ask me any questions, about the counselling process.

I offer Counselling sessions face to face, in a therapy room in Prestwich and also, online, via Microsoft teams and telephone sessions.

I offer Person Centred Counselling, which focuses on, you reflecting on your feelings and behaviours and encourages self awareness. And I offer CBT therapy, which is more collaborative and focuses on your goals and offers you specific coping techniques, to help you deal with any issues or problems, you are facing, in a more effectively.

 

My first session

 The first session, entails me, clarifying with you, what brings you to counselling and what you want to get out of the Counselling process and what you feel is helpful for us , to focus on. I will cover the working agreement with you and confidentiality. I will be assessing for any risk and doing the wellbeing assessment forms with yourself. I will be listening to what is going on for you, without judgement, offering support and compassion.
