About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I am Ingried Upingasana, an Integrative Counsellor with a background in Counselling, Coaching, and Positive Psychology.
Sometimes in life, we all need a helping hand to guide us through challenges and find our way forward. I’m passionate about supporting you as you reconnect with your inner strength and discover your capacity to heal, grow, and create positive change.
In our sessions, I provide a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and explore whatever you’re experiencing. I’ll meet you with warmth, compassion, and curiosity as we work together to understand what’s holding you back and how you can move forward with greater confidence and peace.
My aim is to help you build resilience, develop self-awareness, and find balance and fulfilment in your everyday life.

Practice description
My approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, and respect. I believe in creating a collaborative relationship with you, where we can identify, develop, and achieve your goals together. I draw from a range of evidence-based techniques and approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, solution-focused, person-centred, and psychodynamic approaches, and positive psychology interventions such as gratitude journals, gratitude visits, acts of kindness, developing meaning, and designing a beautiful day.
I tailor these approaches and more to your unique needs, helping you build resilience, self-awareness, and a sense of balance. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual orientation, gender identity, and relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your experiences and create meaningful, lasting change
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute chat to give us a chance to connect and establish a preferred method of therapy, establish a contract, and discuss boundaries, as well as the limits of confidentiality. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
This session also allows me to gain a deeper understanding of you and assess your needs as you share your motivations for seeking counselling. You’ll be asked to complete a brief assessment form in the first full session.
