About me and my therapy practice
Anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, grieving, or low? Feeling that you’re not good enough, or don’t belong?
Perhaps you feel unheard in your relationship, caught up in the same arguments, or struggling to rebuild trust after betrayal.
It can feel overwhelming - but you’re not alone. I’m here to help.
It’s entirely normal to feel overwhelmed, lost, or uncertain at times and it's a sign of strength to ask for help. I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space for individuals and couples to feel heard and understood.
Whether you're facing personal struggles or relationship issues, I can help you find clarity, connection, and a way forward.
Practice description
During our sessions I will create a calm environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges.
I start without any preconceptions about you, or any judgement. I just listen and try to understand how things feel to you. I ask questions and together we unravel the source of your distress. This might be something from your past, perhaps an outdated way of seeing the world and your place in it. Or maybe your current circumstances are bringing you down, for example a failing relationship, or dissatisfaction at work, or in other areas of your life.
I might draw your attention to patterns I see in your thinking or behaviour, and we can work out why they are there and whether they are helping or hindering you.
I will help you understand why you might be feeling the way you do, and work with you to help you develop coping strategies, improve your self-awareness and encourage personal growth.
Through our therapeutic relationship, I’ll empower you with the tools and insights necessary to overcome challenges, navigate transitions and improve your sense of self-worth.
My first session
Committing to therapy can be daunting, and with so many counsellors offering their services, finding one who feels right for you, someone you feel able to trust with those thoughts and feelings you may be struggling with, is really important. A written profile can only tell you so much, so I offer a free, 30 minute, no obligation telephone or video call for you to get a sense of whether we can work together.
After that, if you decide you want to proceed, in our first session we will agree our way of working together and from then on we’ll have regular reviews to make sure you’re happy with the way things are going.
