About me and my therapy practice

It can feel overwhelming trying to find the right therapist - someone who understands you, your story, and what you’re going through. You might not have the words for it yet, and that’s okay. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out.

Hi, I am Henisha. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist grounded in a person-centred approach, offering a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space for you to explore your experiences. Having been a client myself, I understand the courage it takes to begin therapy and the power of a supportive therapeutic relationship in creating lasting change - that feeling of finally finding a therapist who just gets it.

As an LGBTQ+ affirmative and neurodiversity-informed therapist, I strive to offer a space where you can be fully yourself - without needing to explain or hide parts of who you are. My integrative style combines person-centred values with insights from trauma-informed and psychodynamic approaches, adapting to what feels right for you and your pace of healing.

I understand that seeking therapy is a courageous step, and finding the right therapist can make all the difference. My goal is to offer the same safe, empowering space that made a difference in my own life. Together, we can work towards understanding your experiences and yourself, building resilience, and fostering positive change.

I have dedicated the last nine years to studying psychology and psychotherapy, gaining a deep understanding of the human mind and its complexities. My clinical work has allowed me to support individuals of different ages and backgrounds through a wide range of challenges, including trauma, bereavement, abuse, body image difficulties, self-harm, and relationship issues. I’ve gained extensive experience working across various charities, often supporting clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, which has enriched my understanding of the unique challenges people face.

Practice description

My practice is a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I take a person-centred approach at the core of my work, believing that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, empathetic, and tailored to you.
